Kiwoom Heroes beat the LG Twins for two days in a row to win four consecutive games.
Kiwoom, led by head coach Hong Won-ki, won 4-1 at a home game against LG in the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on Sunday. Kiwoom, which has won four consecutive games on the day, posted a season record of 20 wins, one draw and 45 losses. On the other hand, LG, which lost for two consecutive games, posted 37 wins, one draw and 25 losses.

At the top of the first inning, LG was out after three outs. Shin Min-jae's first pitch hit was handled by Alcantara himself as he grounded out to the pitcher, while Kim struck out and Austin Dean took a straight hit to the second baseman. After Song Sung-moon's fly ball to center field in the bottom of the first inning, Choi Joo-hwan hit a double to the left, but the inning ended as it was when Lee Joo-hyung's ground ball made a double play.
Neither team scored a point in the second inning. After LG grounded out to second baseman Moon Bo-kyung and first baseman Park Dong-won fouled out in the top of the second inning, Moon Sung-joo turned to a fly ball to left field. After striking out Lim Ji-yeol and Natout, Won Sung-joon walked straight, but failed to score a point due to Kim Dong-yeop's double play.
Then, LG scored the first run in the top of the third inning. After one out, Son Yong-joon got on base due to a heavy hit, and Park Hae-min struck out, but Shin Min-jae's left-handed hit created a chance for two outs and runners on first and third bases. And Kim Hyun-soo's at-bat, LG attempted a double steal, and Shin Min-jae was caught, but in the meantime, Son Yong-joon homered and took a 1-0 lead.
However, Kiwoom immediately hit Lim Chan-gyu's first pitch to make a left-handed double, and Eo Jun-seo was caught with a fly ball at the end of the game on the eighth pitch, but it was enough for Kim to tag up. While LG could not run away, Kiwoom succeeded in turning the tables by adding two points in the bottom of the fifth inning. After Kim Dong-yeop's fly ball to shortstop, Kim Jae-hyun got on base with a left-handed hit and scored on Eo Jun-seo's double. After Song Ji-hoo's fly ball to left field, Eo Jun-seo came in again with Song Sung-moon's timely hit, leading Kiwoom 3-1.
Kiwoom beat LG by giving up another run in the bottom of the eighth inning. Lim Joon-hyung took the mound at LG, Yang Hyun-jong struck out three, and Song Sung-moon hit a fly ball to left field, but Choi Joo-hwan's double made use of the opportunity. The first decision was out, but the decision was reversed to be safe after a video review.
Lee Ju-hyung then got a walk after the full count, with two outs and runners on the first and second bases, and after the LG pitcher was changed to Lee Ji-gang, Lim Ji-yeol hit a timely hit to the right, and Choi Joo-hwan, who was on the second base, homered.
